Montana

Montana is the fourth-largest state by area and one of the least densely populated, with just over 1.1 million residents spread across 380,800 km² of plains, mountains and river valleys. Its economy combines cattle ranching and wheat farming, coal and hard-rock mining, oil in the Williston Basin, healthcare, and a tourism industry anchored by Yellowstone and Glacier national parks. Since 2020 Montana has been one of the fastest-growing states in percentage terms, as in-migration to Bozeman, Kalispell and Missoula pushed home prices up faster than local wages.
